The electronic visa application system (e-Visa) was set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey on 17 April 2013. This system allows visitors to Turkey to obtain their e-visas online (www.evisa.gov.tr) in about three minutes. It is possible to get e-Visa 7/24 anywhere with an Internet connection. Applicants can obtain their visa after entering the necessary information about their identity, passport and travel dates and pay the visa fee online. Please note that e-visa is only valid if the purpose of the trip is tourism or trade. For other purposes, such as work and studies, visas are issued by Turkish embassies or consulates. The term “official passports” includes diplomatic, service, special and official passports. Please note that a travel document/passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Turkey. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is continuing its efforts to strengthen the electronic visa system and enable foreigners to obtain their visas better. In this context – In addition to English, French and Spanish; Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, German, Arabic and Chinese are added options for the e-Visa language.
– In addition to the Visa and Master Card, payment is accepted by other popular credit and debit cards. – tour operators can apply for group electronic visas and apply for flat-rate electronic visas for them. – The necessary arrangements are made to allow foreign visitors to obtain electronic office visas for authorized airlines, including the offices of these companies at airports. – The electronic visa fees that are obtained via the website of the electronic visa www.evisa.gov.tr are lower than those of visas received on arrival at Turkish airports. Information on visa fees can be found on the State Department`s website. (www.mfa.gov.tr/data/KONSOLOSLUK/vize-harc-miktarlari-en.pdf). The visa requirement for a country`s truck drivers may deviate from the general visa regime applicable to the citizens of that country.
